New board positions were confirmed after today’s AGM. Sharon Furnell has retired, having served the club for many years – the last six as chairwoman. She will be missed!
Colin Radford is our new chairman, with Alan Chatterton as his deputy. Alan will continue to look after the club’s presence at shows. We welcome Mark and Jo Edgington to the board as our National Rally co-ordinators. Andrew and Christine Cheesman have agreed to look after the regalia and Amanda Radford will be the new advertising editor. Other positions are, for the moment, unchanged.

The Register Needs YOUR Help
Several of our key officers, who have generously given some of their time over the years to help run our club, are retiring this year. We are looking for volunteers to do the following jobs:
-
- Treasurer
- Company Secretary
- Regalia Officer
- Advertising Editor
Although we have asked many times for volunteers to fill these posts, we have unfortunately had little response. These jobs are important; in particular, the club cannot run without a Treasurer and a Company Secretary. The Register is a limited company, which by law must have a Treasurer and a Secretary; if we cannot fill those posts, then the board would have to consider winding the club up, and that’s something we would obviously rather not have to do. The jobs may sound grand, but in reality do not take up all that much time. So come on, chaps – we have over 500 main members in the UK; surely one of you can spare a little time to help run the club? We’re a friendly bunch of people and it’s a satisfying thing to do. If you think you could help with one of the jobs, then please email the Chairwoman (Sharon) or the President (Andy) to find out more.
PLEASE HELP!!
Triumph 2000 / 2500 / 2·5 Register National Rally 2023
Is now being held at Whitehill Country Park in Paignton from Monday 12th June to Monday 19th June.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the venue for this years National has had to be changed to Whitehill Country Park in Paignton, the venue that gave us such a successful National last year. This has also resulted in us having to make it earlier than previously advertised; it’s now being held from Monday 12th June to Monday 19th June.

National Classic Car Show
The Register had a very successful stand last weekend at the National Classic Car Show at the NEC. It was lovely to see so many members and friends, and to welcome new members and those coming back to us.
This is what the stand looked like before the show started. It became a little less tidy as time went on!

The Four Cs Challenge
The Four Cs Challenge – Classic Car and Caravan around the Coast!
Paul Girling, our Web Administrator, has been into classic cars and caravans for quite a while. As well as his 2500 S Estate, he has a rather special Herald and a matching Viking caravan.

Paul says: We’re taking our Herald and Viking combo around the coast of the UK for fun and to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. We’ll be taking in all four extreme compass points and dipping a toe in each of the four seas surrounding the UK.
Our challenge starts on Monday 6th at Ness Point, Lowestoft (the most easterly point) and should take between four and five weeks and cover around 3,500 miles. I understand from an unreliable source that some of the TSSC Norfolk area are currently doing a sweepstake on how many miles we will do. Thankfully everyone involved so far has at least got us leaving Norfolk.

Wish them luck (’cos they’re going to need lots of it!) and please donate to this good cause if you can. They are visiting our National at Whitehill Park as part of their trip.

National Rally 2022
Arrangements for this year’s National at Whitehill Country Park near Paignton are now well under way. Dates are confirmed as 6th to 13th June 2022. There are plenty of touring pitches and there is still a very small amount of other accommodation available. If you want to book, please contact Colin and Amanda Radford as soon as possible (click here to send them an email). We look forward to welcoming everyone in June. Third time lucky!
New Payment Provider
We are now using Sage Pay (Opayo) to process membership payments via the website. This is our preferred option, as it is significantly cheaper for the Register than PayPal. There is still the option to use PayPal if you wish. Please email the Webmaster if you have any questions.
