Engine Number

Stamped on the top face of the engine block behind the distributor. Also on the V5C.

Body Number

Starts with BA, BB or BC. On a plate screwed to the right hand front suspension turret (above radiator on very early cars).

Registration Date Colour

Carbodies Number

On estate cars only, on a plate next to the body number on the RH front suspension turret. Starts with CB.

Exterior Colour

The paint code (the number in brackets) is in the "Paint" box on the commission number plate.

Interior Trim Colour

The colour code (the number in brackets) is in the "Trim" box on the commission number plate.
