MkI Bootlid Seal

#1 Post by Richard B »

Could someone please post a picture or diagram as to which way this seal should fit (glued) on the bootlid?

I thought the lip goes inside the boot area, with the gap fitting the boot seam, but I may well be wrong.

From memory (I'm away and can't check on my own cars) the seal fits as you have said - the curved surface is the section that is glued in to the lid aperture; the cut out is downwards, and on the inside, ie facing into the boot area. Hope that makes some sort of sense?
