are you using super unleaded? My 6 cyl Triumphs pink on 95RON but run fine on super.

To be honest, because my annual mileage is approx 18,000, I tend to use the cheapest I can get my hands on
. If retarding the ignition still further doesnt solve this then I may have to resort to digging a bit deeper in the wallet!
