Hello all
Has anyone fitted the SCParts CV jointed driveshafts? At £1000 inc Vat a pair they are over £400 cheaper than the Classic driving development shafts.
Just wondering if they are Ok?
Any opinions?
Many thanks
Paul

Re: CV jointed driveshafts
I'm sorry I've no idea but I would certainly like to know, as I presently have my original 1969 shafts out for examination.
Re: CV jointed driveshafts
Having owned these Triumphs for 46 years, I have never had any issue with the original driveshafts. Others may have had experience of the CV jointed types, and the improvements in fitting them, but at that sort of cost, I can't really see any necessary benefit for me, and having more than one Triumph, the cost for all would certainly be prohibitive!

Re: CV jointed driveshafts
At the moment I'm probably looking at u/j replacement only as my hubs seem to be smooth and quiet. However, if my original parts were thoroughly worn out including the hubs then I would fit modern CV types as the original type Rimmers replacements are also about £500 each anyway.

Re: CV jointed driveshafts
I’ve recently bought some improved rear driveshafts from Classic Driving Developments. Not the £1200 ones, but the £600 ones. Coated splines, Hardy Spicer heavy duty UJ’s etc. A vast improvement on the originals, without hurting the pocket too much.
