Also got hold of a good gearbox mount as mine was in two and strengthened it up a little due to poor design!

The first pics worked for me.
You mean there is a projecting stud on the Rover which you have to grind off?
(keeping it cool to avoid melting the rubber?)

They are a stud and a stud a symmetrical engine mount, hence why I've had to drill a hole in the bottom of crossmember to wind the nut on the bottom of the mount!

I can see what you mean, the two original mounting holes are now redundant and the mount is now held by the lower stud on the mounting and the securing nut is accessed via an extra hole you have drilled in the lower side of the crossmember, presumably large enough to allow a socket in.

Definitely worth the mod providing the mounts are good quality.
