Needle advice...

#1 Post by swifty »

Good evening - I need some advice from you learned gents about what needle combo to put in my carbs...

I've got a 2500 engine from a MK2 PI which is running on HS6's with the GT6 style manifold. (standard cam) It also has a 6-3-1 extractor manifold and sports exhaust and K&N's. When I stripped the carbs down to repair the dreaded wax-stats leaking I found it had two different needles! It also has yellow springs I believe (for what it's worth...)

I would talk to Chris Witor. Based on your spec he should be able to sell you the needles and jets as close as he can for you.
Ultimately, as soon as you move away from standard a rolling road is the only way to get it spot on, but Chris is very good and will guide you.
