Hello & More

#1 Post by Don2138 »

Hello to all. I have been a visitor here for a while. Main reason for my visits is I have a Stag with a 2.5 PI Engine ( From a 1974 car I think ). I have found some of the information very useful so thank you. I never thought of registering as I did not think I had anything to offer but have registered as I may be able to give something back. A while ago I rebuilt the differental on my Stag, as it is similar to the cars on this site I thought others may find one of my web pages useful, see: http://www.donkennedy.co.uk/Diff/Diff.htm There is more than differental information, i.e. extension ( Quill ) bearing and seal and stuff about drive shafts. There is other information but more Stag specific at: http://www.donkennedy.co.uk/StagIndex.htm I hope there is stuff that others may find useful

Hi and Welcome Don.

I think we have been chatting over on the CT forum before, but welcome to the 2000 Register forum.

We're a little smaller than CT, but there is still lots of useful info on here, so we look forward to hearing more from you.

Size not important ( I hope not ! ).

I found some of the information here very useful. If I can show my appreciation. As can be seen via the link I have made and have some tools and stuff that others may find useful so if anyone down this part of the world ( Plymouth Devon ) would like to loan anything I have they are more than welcome ( No charge of course ). I have made some spanners that are for the rear wheel bearings and for removing the differental hubs etc. Also I have things like Dial Gauge, Vacuum Gauge, Fuel Pressure Gauge and adaptor for the PI system. Also things like Carb Balancer that works with the PI and Click Adjust for the Tappets / Valve Adjustment. I have many other tools and stuff that may be of use to others, too many to mention so if anyone needs something do not hesitate to ask.

Once again many thanks for the welcome, Don Kennedy

Hi Don,

You may remember I was a member of the SOC forum, I think I was just leaving as you joined! My Stag was also a 2500, although a carb model, which I converted from the V8 after engine troubles.

Welcome to the 2000 Register forum!

Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Many thanks for the welcome.

I do not get involved with the SOC forum any more as it has become very political, they are changing their Forum so only SOC memebers can post. Not a problem, their Forum, their decision which I respect. My interest is in classic cars of all types and helping others if / when I can, I leave the politics to others, gets too heavy and intense for me.

As advised above if anyone down this part of the world has need for any special tools I have please ask. I live just off the first exit passed the Tamar Bridge on the Plymouth side.
