Estate carpets

Has any got any reccomendations for Estate load area carpets? I was thinking of the ones on Ebay or Coverdale...

i bought the wedgewood blue carpet from coverdale "off the role" to do my estate load area i was very pleased with it,the only slight problem is that as its latex backed its thicker than the original and requires compressing to enable it to fit in the alloy trim near the tailgate

Many thanks for that, I had not thought of carpet off the roll. How did you sew the bits together, eg over the wheelarches?

I was planning on just buying a kit from Earlparts for the load are for my estate. comes with all the bit you need including the correct bits for the wheel arches..............

hi brian i only did the floor boards as i was lucky to have new old stock BL wheel arch carpets.they would be tricky to make as original with the shock absorber flaps

sadly no. I was lucky to buy two new old stock front seats in blue and most carpet sections still in the triumph bl polythene bags several years ago from a chap in north devon who had them to restore his estate but the car rotted away before he could fit them.According to another member here in devon there was a shipping container full of triumph 2000 2.5 carpets nos around, he bought some of the carpets and seat covers but there was just too much for him to store so thats probably where my bits came from originally.

Thanks Grahame...... I didn't think you would have, but it was worth asking!

I've got some NOS carpet sections, but passenger compartment only........

Long way off needing them anyway......... due for paint in the next few weeks!
