Re: Caliper alignment
After judicially bending the stone guard in many directions, accompanied by the almost mandatory swearing and exclaiming "why did they design it like that", I finally had alignment. Could not for the life of me see where the spring clips went, and they were not on the car when I got it, so left ...

Caliper alignment
Can anyone tell me the trick to getting the calipers back on to the hub. I have just spent the best part of 2 days trying (unsuccessfully) to do this. I am able to align both the top and bottom holes up, and once even jagged the thread on the lower bolt. It seems as if the tin plate mudguard is ...

Re: New car find not starting yet
Whoo hoo, the old girl runs.
Must have been either the new petrol, or a spark plug I replaced, or replacing the vacuum line to the dizzy, but after giving it a good talking too and a hot cup of tea, after a bit of coughing and spluttering she burst into life :D
now to get it running properly ...

New car find not starting yet
Hi folks.
I have been given another 2500TC, ostensibly for parts, as it is the same year (1976) and colour (green) as my existing drive.
The car looked to good to just wreck for parts, so decided I would try & get it up and running. The ignition switch was missing, but I had a spare so replaced ...

Converting to overdrive gearbox
Hi all, I currently have a bog standard manual 4 speed gearbox in the 2500, and have a chance of picking up an overdrive gearbox. Is it a simple matter of removing the old & bolting up the new, or is it a bit trickier than this?

Re: Towbar fitting
Thanks for that info, will install as instructed. My main worry was whether to drill or not to drill, that indeed was the question, and has been answered comprehensively as always.

Towbar fitting
Another question from down under to the folks who are always so helpful.
I am fitting a towbar onto the 2500TC that I picked up from the local wreckers - they stated that it was definitely off of a triumph sedan.
The issue I have is that whilst the two holes on the end of the heavy bar line up ...

Re: Paint Code
Paint code on my Australian assembled 1976 2500 is AL, and is some variety of (iridescent?) green. Does this code mean anything to anyone as all the info I have been able to source states that paint code should be a number.
