Hi all,
Do you know if it is now possible to buy "new" steel wheels for 2000 MK1. Mine turns "square" and I am afraid that it is the same for all occasions.
Thanks
Fabien

I hadn't realised this until you asked the question, but it seems now that non of the major suppliers are listing them as available, even used. It would appear that your only option is second hand either on Ebay, or by word of mouth within Triumph circles.

Thank you. It seems difficult in/from France. The market is small and I'd like to check before to buy...
I'll have a look if it's possible to rectify these old wheels.

I guess it's the sort of thing people don't need very often. I binned a set of perfectly useable Mk2 steelies a couple of years ago as no one wanted them.
I'm sure someone on here will have a Mk1 wheel (or a full set of Mk2 which are pretty similar just a smidge wider) surplus to requirements, either that or keep an eye out on Ebay or the non-affiliated Facebook groups for someone breaking a car.

I have quite a lot of Mk2 steel wheels, nearly all with part-worn (but well time-expired!) tyres.
In theory it would be possible to get a set to Calvados, but even than may still be too far!
Just a thought.
Cheers,
Mike.

Hi guys,
Thank you again for your answers.
Shipment is not really a problem but I worried about two other points :
- I was thinking that the wheels were not the same between mk1 an mk2 : Bolt spacing ? I'm wrong ?
- Does some old steel wheel are really better than mine ?... They were looking fine before I put them on the balancing machine. Around 5mm (0.2") of twist.
Cheers,
Fabien

Mk1 and Mk2 wheels aren't the same. Both times that I have fitted Mk2 wheels on a Mk1 I have had to remove the wheel weights on the inside of the wheels to stop them catching on the track rod ends. (Or ball joints, I cant remember?)
The stud pattern is the same though.
