Hope OK to put here as it is not really a spares matter.

I have had someone contact me about a 2000 saloon that they need to get rid of. This is the info he has given me.

Bodywork is rusty (in places very) but interior trim has been removed and stored safely.
The engine and gearbox are removed but MAY be available as part of the deal if the car is going to be put back on the road but it may only be a spares car.
There is a spare boot section to go with it and possibly a bonnet (but I may snaffle that for myself ).
All documentation to put the car back on the road is present.

The car is FREE but a donation to charity would be appreciated (I suggested my RBRR Just Giving ....... cheeky)

The owner is prepared to transport the car (which is really a rolling shell) a short distance from Swindon if it helps.

I saw the car about 6 years ago and it was not too bad then but it has deteriorated since.
I have photos so PM me if interested and I will send them and give contact details.

Thanks for this info What colour seats are they and are they vinyl?

The donor wants the car gone in one hit - no space.

If it goes for scrap stuff like the seats may be for sale as it can be stored while awaiting a buyer.

However thier is someone interested in taking everything.

What type is the gearbox? I need a manual box with a type "A" overdrive for a 2000 Mk2

This car is not being treated as a breaker. The guy wants it all to go in one hit because storage has gone and it is in the way, with only a few bits already stored separately possibly being for sale - seats, engine gearbox.

I'll post if these become available BUT I understand it has found a home but await confirmation.
