Some bits i need to the P.I
I made a list of bits i would like for the P.I,its not ever going to be a showcar but i would like these to improve its looks a touch, its smart enough(for what i paid for it)but i could do with these items
A drivers shadow blue seat base,or whole seat in cloth.
Shadow blue headrests
P.I wheeltrims(must be very nice)
NOS osr quarter bumper
If anyone can help please drop me a PM.
Would like the wheeltrims to be honest mostly as i have police spec hubcaps on there and i don,t like them much!

Re: Some bits i need to the P.I
Is the driver seat problem due to the rubber diaphragm underneath having gone or because the seat fabric itself has gone? Most seats have a problem with these diaphragms and the only decent solution is to buy a new one from Chris Witor.

It's worth remembering that Mk2 (pre-facelift) rear quarter bumpers are the same as TR6 items. They are still available at not too outrageous prices!
I guess you could drill them for post face-lift....
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Some bits i need to the P.I
Thanks Mike yes i did know this about the bumper and may have to go down that route, although drilling the holes isn,t something i would look foward to.
Might have a pair of blue headrests lined up aswell,so not doing bad.
Damm P.I hubcaps are a pain to find.

Re: Some bits i need to the P.I
I also want a parts catalogue aswell please must cover my car(74 Facelift P.I)my friend has 2 versions and the later 75 onwards one doesn,t cover my car.
Re: Some bits i need to the P.I
I have a Mk 2 parts catalogue that I don't need being a Mk1 owner. It is entitled Triiumph 2000 & 2.5PI Mk2 (1974) Part No. RTC9064/A August 1975. Inside it says it covers Commission Numbers ML1 DL onwards, MM1 DL onwards and MN1 DL to MN 2096 DL. Is this what you are looking for?

Re: Some bits i need to the P.I
You might want to consider running with the larger diameter Stag wheels and matching trims. The look is identical to the PI just an inch larger diameter. This would give you the option of upgrading the brakes in the future. Also worth noting, with tatty looking trims you can scratch the paint off with a screwdriver, this gives a good rough surface for applying an etch primer before painting with a decent paint like Rustoleum. Use the best half inch flat brush that a craft shop can sell you, suitable for enamel paint. It's time consuming but worth the effort. And, on some of the Stag trims the dummy nuts are removable, making the whole job a bit easier. Final tip, don't mask up, just brush outwards to each edge, hence the need for a flat brush.

Re: Some bits i need to the P.I
Don,t need to paint the black inserts on the p.i trims,i actually need to remove any black paint!
I,ve sorted a set but need the centre badges
