go there mr chairman, top banana !!!!
lee, dont ask me, im spending 14 hours a day online at the mo, my brain is frazzled
£400 it is, in just over a day !!!!!! bloody marvelous, well done guys.
i guess for now, keep the v5, dont sent it off or it will add another owner to the record ( an issue that needs to be talked about, along with many others ), so long as the seller is happy to do that, although it will mean the sellers name remains on the v5, hmmmmmmmm difficult one, not sure, the v5 does state, the name on the v5 doesnt mean that, that person is the legal owner of that car, so as long as we get a signed reciept, it should be ok ??? your thoughts people please on that one
always get a signed reciept.
nice one lee, let us know what its like, personally i think the rustier the better ( to a point ) as we dont want to suck up all the running resto ones out there, taking them away from non members ?????
UPWARD AND ONWARDS, WOO HOO

The only concern I can see with not getting the V5 signed is that the seller may not wish this?...........
EG the car will still be registered in their name.........
Any ideas anybody?
Lee
PS Mrs does not yet know that a car maybe coming on the driveway........

As I understand it the car registration details are required to be changed to the new keeper (owner) upon transfer of ownership unless you are a registered trader. It is an offence not to do so.
The only way round this is that the 'Triumph Rescue Club' is formally set up with a 'Secretary/Chairman' address and the DVLA accept it .......
If the Group actually purchases a car using its funds (how is that being organised, we have had enough trouble with the Spares Group which is going live later) then ownership should be registered in their name but this should be cleared with DVLA. If it was in the 'Rescue Club' name I don't think future owners would particularly worry about the extra name.

We can chuck in £100, after all it is only about the same as a skip and we had 7 of those here during last week.
The picture shows that we cant even store our own cars at the moment though, let alone any others....sorry.
At least we have some brick work sprouting from the ground now though.

i know its gunna be hectic at first, but there must be somebody out there willing to aid in this formation and when its sorted, us members will have cars on tap for when we want to buy one back from the formation to restore ( at say + 25% of purchase cost ???? )
lloyd
25% seems reasonable for those who have not put anything in (ie: not 'members'), but a little steep for those who have Lloyd.
Just my thoughts.
Lee don't spend it all if you dont have to though!!!!! (living in Yorkshire is really effecting me

)
