The year Ann and I went to Exeter.

I think Alan's losing it. I thought we were the older ones?

Cheers,
Mike.

Blimey Alan, get some years in! I bought my first one in 1974.... :o

(Now we wait for David to comment  )

Cheers,
Mike.
Oh dear, you're making me feel very old! I didn't have a Triumph in my first 22 years but have had them continuously over the following 47 years!

I bought my first Triumph 2000 in 1970 but I'd had a couple of Heralds before that. The first was a 948 cc convertible in poor condition which I'd bought to sell on but ran for a while (after cutting a hole in the bulkhead so as to be able to replace a core plug without removing the engine!).

The second was a 1200 saloon. This was in very poor condition for its young age (about 5 years?) but I decided to keep it as my everyday car. I did a fair bit of stripping and rebuilding and there followed two or three years of totally reliability. I then sold it to a friend so as to be able to buy the 2000, and he had nothing but trouble with it from Day 1. We remained good friends but he never let me forget the 'heap' I'd sold him!
