Yep, saw it last night and I'm trying to get hold of the seller

Thanks for the heads-up!

Went for it and now it's in it's new home :D

Special thanks must go to our Chairman, Alan, who helped me give the car a thorough inspection and also to all those who have given me a gentle nudge to get back into Triumph ownership

It's a lovely, one owner, original car, having had a bit of paint over the years here and there, and a couple of dodgy badges fitted, which will soon be removed! But it's structurally excellent, which is what I was holding out for.

Having been hibernating in a warm garage for five years, I gave it a good run down to Chichester from Solihull, and was amazed at how it keeps up with modern motorway traffic! Much, much better than the wheezy 2500TC auto I had all those years ago :D

There's driveline vibration at 60mph (likely culprit unbalanced prop after UJ replacement), but that disappears at 70mph plus..... :P

I'm off to get the wheels balanced tomorrow (old tyres on original 13" rims) and shall then give the car a good service - plugs, leads, points, dizzy cap, rocker gaps, air filter... There's also a slight misfire on No 5, so that needs some tinkering with. And then on Monday it's time to order a stainless steel exhaust!

:D

Well done Jim. It really is a lovely car. Minor fettling needed, but so original it's amazing.

Good on yer, Jim. Nice to see such an original car going to someone who will appreciate it :D
Just make sure the new rotor arm matches the body colour, or there could be trouble ahead

Good point. Forgot to tell you that. Get a red rotor arm from distributor doctor. All others are cheap Chinese things that fail after 20 miles. Keep the original in the glovebox, you may need it!
