It seems to be going together very quickly now, and very well. So far i'm delighted with the work that Gary has done :D :D

Hello to all,
My friend Gary has done very well on the left side of my Pi, and has now started work on the right hand side. Here is a picture of that side after most of the loose bits of rust have been removed:

Cheers Nige,
I can't believe how well it's looking now. It looked like a mission impossible before
Here's some more shots of the right hand side before work started.
A dodgy bit at the anti-vibration strap:

And at the rear:

Offside sill, if there was one:

And here's a few of the right hand side repairs:

Drivers side floor panel cut out ready for the new section to be welded in:

And the sills put into place for welding:

After these repairs the bodywork (arches etc) will need sorting. Fortunately the bodywork isn't too bad :D

Amazing Lee - I suspect most people would have scrapped it by now. It's one hell of a rescue job. 8)

I agree totally with Allen, and all i can say with the latest shots of the rear is 'wow'....and i'm glad i've decided to protect my car's underbody before starting on the mechanics,or else you would end up making me an offer of £75 for it and giving it to Gary

Fantastic pictures! Unfortunately, it all looks very familiar to me, but in a way reassuring that someone else has had the same corrosion problems that I've addressed in the past. However, I would take many months over it, where I suspect that yours is being done a lot faster than that.

It's going to be a really nice solid shell.

Great stuff.

Cheers,
Mike.
