I have absolutely no experience of these, in over 35 years of Triumph ownership I have never even changed a bulb in one !

I know there are six, but there were apparently eight numbers because BL changed all their parts numbers to a different system during production of the Mk2 facelift

Thermoplastics/thermosets degrade over time, so with NOS examples probably being at least 20 years old by now, I'm not surprised they're failing quickly once exposed to UV (the enemy of plastic) and thermal cycling.
If the Spares Group (must print off form and join!) does remanufacture, then a modern material will be much more durable.
