Cloth front seats

#1 Post by mach1rob »

I'm in 2 minds about what to do with these, 1 says keep them to put back in if ever the need arose, 2 says get shot as they're just taking up valuable space, so with this in mind, does anyone need 2 front seats in black cloth with headrests? Passenger side seat diaphragm has split so you end up sat on the floor as its sagged, and drivers seems to have lost vital bits of padding. They have had a couple of repairs and are far from mint, but I won't tip these, but I am willing to pass them on to someone who can make use of them.

Located in Bournemouth.

I could do with some other black cloth seats to try and get a decent pair, used as necessary. However, with my Stag rebuild I can't see me getting down to Bournemouth anytime soon.

Are you desperate to shift them very soon?

Cheers,
Mike.

I did book them (for the estate) but sounds like Mike has a greater need so I'll pass up on them.

There's no major rush to get shot, and Ted had sent me a PM the other day/week.

We have some friends in Didcot that I think we're due to go visit soon so could bring them up if we do visit.

Ted, that's very decent of you. If I'd have known you'd replied I'd have kept quiet!

Rob (?), if you do visit that would be great, if not we can come and collect - but sadly sometime later when I'm not so busy. I think there's a day free sometime in August 2014....

Cheers,
Mike.

Sorry to hijack this thread...............

but I have some Shadow Blue rears in cloth, although sun damaged on back squab but maybe of use as a repair to somebody.

Yup, I'm sure too. If you can let me know if you come up this way, and I'll do the same when I get some free time. I hope to get the Stag finished in about 6 weeks but at the moment it's occupying just about all my spare time!

Cheers,
Mike.

Not your fault Mike but mine for not posting a note that I had sent a PM.

Mind you while these seats would be useful your post shows that you would make better use of them at this stage. I am seriously considering prioritising the estate because we need a spare one to supplement the Rangie (nice car but fuel consumption even on LPG :? ) and Steph's little Justy ...... especially now we have 5 dogs to contend with!

I will see what I can sort out in the way of a black or light tan estate seat set with headrests later - but will still need the blue set for the PI saloon.

Mind you with all my projects I do wonder about seeing if I can get a good running PI estate in a deal with someone who wants my estate to build using a 3.9 Rover V8 ........ or even the 5.7 small block Chevvy engines that I have  I can then think about getting the MK1 sorted for next years 50th celebration!
