PAS pulley

#1 Post by Mike Stevens »

I'm in need of a PAS pulley. This is the one that is in front of the main crankshaft pulley and is for the PAS pump belt, but is not the one when used with a Viscous fan. I need the one that replaces the fan adapter and has the 4 tapped holes in it to fit the fan to. Part number 150215 (I think!).

Anyone out there with one?

TIA.

Cheers,
Mike.

Thanks for having a look Charles. I too have one on the PI! This is for the 2000 where I want to put the fixed fan back after I had overheating problems last year with the electric fan. I thought I had all the bits, but no.

I've not found any of the commercial chaps who've got one either, so I'm now moving onto plan B. I have at least a couple of the pulleys which use the viscous fan and I reckon I can get the front of one of them faced off and drilled/tapped for a fixed fan. I think there's enough meat on them to do that so that's the next thing to try. If not, it'll be an electric fan back on or maybe even a viscous one!

The 2000 MoT is due next week too! I think that is going to slip..... But at least I have finally fixed its leaking windscreen seal.....!

Cheers,
Mike.

P.S. Good luck with 'LeJog'!

I'm sure I have one Mike, but at the moment it's on standby incase Dad wants to upgrade the mk1 to PAS. The only thing I haven't got is the hoses.

Have you tried Andy Harrison?
I would be suprised if he didn't have one knocking about somewhere. I can't seem to find his number, but hopefully someone else will post it on here....then we will both have it! :D

Hi George,

Thanks for that, but I think it's the one for the pump itself, rather than the one on the crankshaft, which is what I need.

Hi Colin,

If you do go down that route and get stuck, I'm sure I have all the necessary bits, (except pulley!), including hoses, pump and maybe even pump brackets. Not sure about front engine plate though, although there is one on the old Pi engine...

Cheers,
Mike.

Hi Mike, the only bits I don't have are the pipes, I have the front engine plate, brackets, subframe and rack mountings, pump, rack etc......I would need the relevant piece for the end of the column though.

Not sure what Dad will do regarding the steering. It isn't over heavy really, although the baggy steering wheel glove isn't helping on that one. The gearbox mount is more pressing really, it is very collapsed!

Cheers Colin.

Hello Colin,

just in case you are not aware, the track control arms are also different.

You have reminded me Alec, although I thought it was the steering arms that bolt to the back of the hub, the part that the track rod end balljoint bolts through. Most likely we mean the same arm but call them by differrent names  .
I do have those as well.

Hello Colin,

I thought it didn't look right when I typed that, you are correct it should be steering arms.
