Hello Mike,

a HS6 will go onto a HS4 manifold, but with only two out of the normal four fastenings. Obviously, unless the manifold flange is relieved there will be an 1\8" step where the carburettor mounts.

Yes, you have, and I agree a 0.100" needle will not go into a 0.090" jet, nor will it fit the piston. Was it confirmed that it was a short manifold?

Hi Alec,

That's what I thought. I think it's a short manifold, but as you say, there would be a step if used with HS6s.

I shall have to go and have a look. It's not far from me (about 8 - 10 miles) but I'm always so short of time, not being retired - yet! This weekend we are at the NEC for 2 days as well.

Cheers,
Mike.
