It is.......
A shame really, that you are having to sell your car.
I saw you at John O'Groats last October (I was in the dark brown Dolomite without RBRR stickers).

Hi Allen,
I was also admiring your car on the RBRR. That's such a great colour for a saloon, and the tan seats look really good.
Has it gone a new home now?
Cheers,
Glenn

Thanks for the kind words. No, not yet. I've had a few enquiries but no one's actually come forward with a nice wad of bills as yet! It was always going to be difficult, just got to hope somebody is willing to take it on.

Hi Allen,
As it went quiet, I assumed it had been snapped up! I would dearly love to take it on but I have far too many projects on the go and SWMBO would probably not talk to me again. (Hmm, now there's a thought...)
Shame, as I've got enough engine/engine bits to sort it too.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Sad for me, could be good for you
Update:
Got the head off today. The pics tell the story, just deciding what to do now. I think the head is fundamentally okay, needs two, possibly three or four new valves and possibly new valve guides to go with them.
No 1 piston disintegrated, No 2 damaged. Not sure how bad the bore is on No.1, can't tell if it's scored or just coated in melted piston.
Ho hum.

Re: Sad for me, could be good for you
Kinell Allen.............. you've done that well!
Okay, its not the end of the world. The bore appears to be ok, You could just hone that.
I had a damaged piston on my S engine when I took it apart. No where near as bad as that though, but bad enough to need changing.
I bought a NOS S piston from Mike Papworth, and just changed the one. Hone the rest, new rings and big ends.
As for the head, you either get it done professionally, about £300 and have it Unleaded at the same time, or pop on a good s/h one (you want a 219016 head)
