Re: Trivial question about indicator repeater lamps
I'd certainly be very interested if any are manufactured. I have NOS for one side (LHS?), but the other side I'm still looking for something.

Re: drive shaft grease nipples?
Did the same on the LHS and no grease nipple to be found....
Some of the UJ's have a small screw where the grease nipple goes. This can be removed, grease pumped in and the screw replaced. Hence I keep a jar of grease nipples!
Cheers,
Mike.
In this case it appeared to be completely sealed with ...

Re: drive shaft grease nipples?
I had the rear end apart on mine a couple of days ago - so thought perfect time to grease the unijoints on the drive shafts. Did the RHS first and it was probably a lot quicker stripping it down than when I managed to get the grease gun jammed trying to doing it in situ  . Did the same on the ...

Re: fitting an anti roll bar
I've got front and rear bars (front added on from an S), poly bushes everywhere, new higher rates springs, new konis all around and 15" rims with 205/55R15 Yokohama S Drives. It's literally like taking a vehicle that's 40 years old and dragging it into the current decade for handling- there is a ...

Re: Leg length?
I'm around 6'2" and I'm fairly sure my seat is all the way back on my MkII 2.5PI (that or it's jamming before the end of the rail- it is a PITA to move?) I don't know if there's any difference in the seats between the Australian and UK models? The other issue you might have is the seat belt upper ...

Re: External Black Trim
I redid my grille a while back. From memory I smoothed out the bigger chips with wet and dry, then throuroughly cleaned it all. I taped up the headlight cutouts and then sprayed it. After spraying I then sanded back the front edges of the fins to restore the shiny leading edge. It came up well IMHO ...

Re: IS IT JUST ME???
Yes, they have THE worst design filler. The body panel cutout is the wrong shape so (if you care about the paint) you need to carefully support the nozzle. I think the cutoff problem is because the tank isn't underneath the body like most vehicles, so the fuel has to flow substantially sideways into ...

Re: Improving the heater blower motor/ fan?
I'll be pulling the whole heater box out and swapping in the aircon equipped version soon. It was a "factory" option here (from what I understand), but the reality was the heater boxes were actually modified by local companies with the necessary parts installed inside it (plus all the other external ...
