Re: V8 anyone?

Sadly, I sold that car 6 or 7 months ago, a very silly thing to do in hindsight. If I had the cash right now, I'd consider buying it back.

It's only the Commodore diff internals, fitted into the original housing.

I'm thinking about getting another Triumph now though. I wouldn't mind a "S" (with ...

Re: alternative alxes

My Triumph V8 has the internals from a Holden diff fitted into the original Triumph casing, so I'd say there's a good chance that it could be done. The casing was modified though and I don't know how, as I bought the car with it already done. I don't know for sure or anything, but I'd say there's a ...

Re: What did you do with/to your Triumph today?

Went for a nice drive over to Dunedin and back. Car ran flawlessly like usual, but noticed how much petrol has gone up lately. Was a bit naughty here and there and may've gone over the speed limit sometimes!

Re: rover V8 conversion

Mine has Edelbrock manifold with Holley 390 carby and it all fits under the bonnet without cutting etc! Can't tell you much more though, as I didn't do the conversion and am no mechanic.

Re: 2500S

Since he's still got the original carbs you could always ask if he wants to sell the webers seperately for your "S". No good for me though, my Triumph has a V8.

Re: 2500S

Ha ha, I don't have the spare $6500 though! Yeah, I like the triple Webers... I wonder how well the car goes with those? I think the "S" engines were a bit more powerful than the regular TC engines anyway, so it'd prabably go pretty good with the Webers! Maybe a bit like an E49 Charger... I'd ...

2500S

Here's a nice looking "S" I'd seriously consider buying if I had a spare $6500 and another garage to keep it in.

Re: What did you do with/to your Triumph today?

Took my Triumph to the Lawrence Show "n" Shine classic car show today! Had a great drive there and back and looked at heaps of great cars! They were mostly American and Aussie, but there were a few Brits including a Spitfire, a Wolseley 6/110, an Austin A35, a few Rover P6B's, a P4, some Zephyr ...
