Just a quick update on the webers.

Been away for a couple weeks touring Suffolk and Lincs, The carbs are working very well and have had no problems at all. Tick-over excellent, better economy by approx 2mpg, and performance miles better, pick up exceptionally well.

Finally had the car out on a run. Took a while as had to wait for wings to be repaired.

Have to say the Webers run fantastically from cold and when hot.

I had to advance the timing a touch, as recommended by Redline Weber.

Picks up much more responsively than the SU's, also great at low ...

Heres a pic or 2 of carbs fitted.

Just waiting for a couple of Webcon plenums to fit cold air pipes to.

Oh and Y piece for the fuel pipes then I'll start her up and fine tune carbs.

Well the weber's and manifolds ave arrived. Getting the manifold etch primed and coated in black. Hope to fit at weekend.

Yes I did think about 38's but decided on the 32/36's for a more progressive application of fuel, also these are easy to alter the position the second choke to bring them in earlier, I did this on my Rover V8 with twin Dgv's.

Now that sounds like a bit over my head. EFI etc I like simple even the 123 ignition is pushing me a bit out of my comfort zone.

My view is based on a tvr vixen that had 621 but changed to a 631 manifold at £500 plus only to get an extra 7hp and minimal acceleration benefit. It was running on HS6's. Surely not a great gain for such expense.

Yes I have the standard advance curve details, I just wondered if anyone had used the 123 ignition and if they had found any improved curves.

As I stated I have a powerspark electronic dizzy at the moment, so Dist Doc not much use.
