Re: Del Lines car in last weeks classic car weekly

I don't agree that the Stag engine is c**p, mine has done 30,000 miles in three years and often does 400 miles per week. No problems so far. Acceleration wise my PI Estate and Stag are pretty evenly matched I would say - they both fly! I think personally that the Lines cars are the car that Triumph ...

I'm surprised that Morris oils are not easily found in your area seeing as their headquarters are relatively close to you? It's everywhere around here?

Hi Alec,

I have only found one place where I can buy Morris' oil...surprising as you say as it is made locally!

Re: Engine Oil

I have used Millers Classic Sport 20-50 for a while but have now found a supply of Valvoline VR1 20-50 as the place that sold the Millers doesn't anymore! My 2000 likes Morris' 20-50 but it can be hard to find. I believe there is an issue with not enough zinc for our cars in modern engine oils?

Re: Rare cars you've seen recently

I pass a very smart black Jaguar XJS every day and, although not rare, I pass a black MGB also every day. They are both going in the opposite direction to me...

I used to see a Rover SD1 Vitesse every day too, but have not seen it for a long time now.

Re: int triumph show stoneleigh

Stan and Standman had a fantastic day yesterday too, many thanks to Colin and Amanda for putting on such an excellent show. The stand was amazing and really made the Register the centre of attention.

The tea and cakes were great and I enjoyed myself hugely talking almost non stop about my car ...

Re: PI estate plumbing

I discussed this with Malcolm at Prestige Injection when I was re converting my estate back to Pi. He said he has tried allsorts of ways, swirlpots, helper pumps and so on to make the Bosch pump work on the estate without success. I have a Lucas pump which I have wired in via a relay and a large ...

Hi Charles,

I have scanned the page I used but the file is too big for here. If you would like to PM me your email address I could email it maybe?

Re: Modern cars, who needs em!

I don't have a modern car and have not had for some time. I use my Stag everyday and have now covered over 27,000 miles in it, before this I drove my PI Estate and my 2000. I love the fact that it makes me smile everyday, I can repair it myself and there is minimal depreciation. The downside is that ...
