When you say "I have the filter", do you mean you have a cooler-type adaptor? If so, you may be able to convert it to non-cooler type by drilling a connecting hole through the wall inside the adaptor (i.e. the wall that separates cooler feed and return) and fitting blanking plugs to the ports.

Looks like they've gone up since I bought one two years ago. Mind you guess I never need to buy another one unless I buy another car.
Rimmers are cheaper and they're in the sale! http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-RR1238LIST

Beware that some adaptors for our Triumphs have a design flaw in that oil can pass from the dirty side to the clean side of the system at the adaptor-to-block interface, i.e. without going through the filter element. CW's early ones had this fault but I understand his current ones are fine. I don't know about those from elsewhere.

Having bought both I'm pretty certain that the ones Rimmer's supply and Chris Witor's are identical, both manufactured by Mocal.
As David says apparently the early ones didn't have the sprung centre bit which takes up the variance in the tolerance of machining by triumph, meaning if your engine was on one side of the band of tolerance the middle didn't seal so the oil bypassed the filter (and presumably if it was on the other side of the tolerance band it just leaked badly).
