Here’s a good event to attend – 25-26th September is the Kop Hill Climb Centenary, near Princes Risborough, Bucks. This event was successfully revived last year and celebrates one of the most popular speed hill climbs in the country for motorcycles and motorcars in the period between 1910 and 1925. Kop Hill was one of several hill climbs in the Chilterns, along with Aston Clinton. It was a major event on the motor sports calendar and many famous names, such as Malcolm Campbell, Raymond Mays, Henry Seagrave and Archie Frazer Nash had runs up the hill.
For this year, a special area in the paddock will be set aside for pre-registered classic cars and bikes. We have taken a space, together with the TR Register, to put on a show of the Triumph marque. There will also be the traders and exhibitors you would expect to find at classic car shows. You will need to register by going to www.kophillclimb.org.uk/newindows/classicregulations.html. Once you have accepted the terms and conditions you will go to a new page and there you will find a drop down menu “Please choose individual or club”, click TR Register and follow the instructions. Our cars are ineligible to run on the hill as they were not built before 1925, but we will be on show with hundreds of other veteran, vintage and classic machinery.
The event is being organised in aid of local charities. Our part in the show is being put together by Alan Crussell and David Hathaway and they would appreciate your support on one or both days. Contact email@example.com for more details. For full information see the www.kophillclimb.info website
