On Saturday 21 August a friend Roy Parmentor wants to run a re-enactment of a picture taken of me driving a MIni Cooper S (which he now owns) down Porlock Hill which was used as a Special Stage on the 1964 RAC Rally. As far as I am aware this was the only time the hill was used in the down direction.
We are hoping to get around fifty spectators to stand on the hill by the same corner. We have hired a bus to collect people in the village at around 11.00am and run them to the location. As a thank you every one will get a free ticket for the excellent Porlock Motor Museum.
On the following day there is the Tour of Exmoor which is a uncompetitive 100 mile run taking in the lovely Exmoor countryside. It would certainly to great to have a few Triumphs along.
