1934 Salmon's bodied Standard 10

This Salmon's bodied 1934 Standard 10 was the worthy "Car of the Show" at last year's Standard International Rally

An invite to our members from the Standard Motor Club:

I am taking this opportunity to bring to your attention the Standard Motor Club Annual Rally, we will welcome any body from all other Standard Triumph Clubs.  We have a new class this year for Special Bodied Standards and we have of course the open class which any make can enter.

This will be the 53rd Consecutive Running of this Annual Event. This year, for the first time, we will host a discrete class for “Coachbuilt Standards” which have previously been part of our “Post-Vintage” Class. This will join our 10 other classes in the Static Rally. Other Clubs are invited to attend as entries in our open classes and we hope that many Marques can join us.

The event is based at Horwood House, a good quality Conference Centre near Bletchley in Bucks. There is a static Rally at Horwood House on Sunday 1st July, but this is the culmination of a whole weekend of events. The format is similar to a formula that we have successfully developed over a number of years.

We have negotiated a Special price for 4 star accommodation and meals in this 182-roomed Corporate Conference Centre. On Friday afternoon, there will be a guided tour of Bletchley Park Codebreakers Centre followed by a buffet. On Saturday there will be a leisurely Road-run incorporating a ride on a specially chartered Steam Train on the nearby Leighton Buzzard Railway, followed by a Rally Dinner at Horwood House.

It must be emphasised that apart from the £10 entry fee for the Sunday Rally, all the other events, accommodation and meals can be ordered from a menu pricing system, so you pay only for the services and visits that you wish to participate in. You are welcome to attend for just one, two or all three days.

Further detail is available in the booking form, which should be returned by 18th May 2012. Copies of the Entry form are available from the Download area of the Club’s website at
