If they succeed in all this it looks like it will be a good weekend. Entertainment: Sat 10 – 8 then rock and soul until 11pm last admission 8pm. DJ will be Wild Cat Pete with live music by Bernie Woods and the Forest Fires on Saturday evening. Muleskinners will be playing live during Sunday.
The 23rd Tatton Park Vintage, Classic & Sports Car Show with Giant Cheshire Auto-jumble Over 2,000 Vintage and Classic cars, with up to 90 top car club displays including special events for the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club and Alvis Owners Club. Massive 2-day Auto-jumble, collectors car mart for selling or buying the car of your dreams! Lots of general trade stands, children’s rides and refreshments.A great family day out! 10am – 4pm. On Saturday 21 August a friend Roy Parmentor wants to run a re-enactment of a picture taken of me driving a MIni Cooper S (which he now owns) down Porlock Hill which was used as a Special Stage on the 1964 RAC Rally. As far as I am aware this was the only time the hill was used in the down direction. We are hoping to get around fifty spectators to stand on the hill by the same corner. We have hired a bus to collect people in the village at around 11.00am and run them to the location. As a thank you every one will get a free ticket for the excellent Porlock Motor Museum. On the following day there is the Tour of Exmoor which is a uncompetitive 100 mile run taking in the lovely Exmoor countryside. It would certainly to great to have a few Triumphs along.
